The gang was up on the Au Sable this past weekend in the hopes of catching the Hendrickson hatch. Waiting for mayflies on a stream like the Au Sable is a real treat. You walk the banks slowly, eyes scanning up and downstream looking for bugs. You see a few bugs at first, then a lazy rise form and soon the Hendricksons fill the air. For a few hours a stream that seems devoid of fish or feeding activity comes alive. We had a phenomenal weekend and should have a full report shortly. Check back soon!
